8th Annual Fred Winn Essay Contest

The United Democrats of El Dorado County have announced this years topic for the 8th Annual Fred Winn Essay Contest.

“What is the greatest challenge faced by your generation?  Explain your choice.  How will you personally address this challenge?”

The Contest is open to all junior and senior high school students from all public high schools in El Dorado County.  Cash prizes are awarded.  For more information click here

Our new site

Welcome to the new website of The El Dorado County Democratic Party.  Please take a look around.  First,we ask that you sign up for our newsletter.  We will only be contacting you about once a quarter,plus invitations to special events and election info.  Don’t worry,it won’t be too much.

On the home page you will find posts of local events and importance.  New features include an “Elections”section detailing the next upcoming election and candidates and a “Elected Officials”section detailing your local,state and federal officials and their contact info.  A new calendar lists our party activities and meetings,plus other meetings you may be interested in.  You can click on the event name for more information,such as location and time.  Resources will provide you with some important links,plus a direct way to send a letter to the editor of our 3 major local papers.  There is a new “Opinion”and “Features”section,along with ways to contribute,volunteer and contact us.

We have also launched a facebook page,located at facebook.com/edcdems.  Here you can join in on interactive conversation on all Democratic topics.  You can even “like”the page right from our site.

We are putting the finishing touches on this new site,adding graphics and improving the menus,but we wanted to get it up for all to enjoy.
