The El Dorado County Democratic Essay Contest,sponsored by the United Democrats of Placerville club,provides an opportunity for public high school junior and seniors to submit an essay on a relative topic. The contest is in its eighth year,and is dedicated to its founder,Fred Winn.
The essay question this year is “What is the greatest challenge faced by your generation? Explain your choice. How will you personally address this challenge?”
All essays must be received no later than January 18,2013. Winners will be awarded their prizes between March 15,2013 and April 15,2013.
1st Place: $1,000 cash
2nd Place: $500 cash
3rd Place: $250 cash
