What we do?

The El Dorado County Democratic Central Committee is the official governing body of the Democratic Party in the County.

The Committee:

• Fosters and supports Democratic Party campaigns in El Dorado County in cooperation with the State and National Democratic Party and assists in raising money in support of.
• Builds the party organization at the county level; registers Democrats; turns out Democratic voters; elects Democratic candidates for public office and supports initiatives and referendums endorsed by the State Party.
• Develops local positions and communicates them to the public and all office holders and provides a forum for the discussion of public isues and Democratic values
• Interviews, develops and endorses progressive and liberal candidates for state and local office; both partisan and non-partisan.
• Charters and supports Democratic Clubs within El Dorado County.

There are four types of members of the Democratic Central Commitee;  elected, appointed, ex-officio and alternate.
